THE STORY

Baltane, a nation left in shambles after the Decade Long Calamity, a turbulent war between the Nations of Alibaster and Corvia which shook the very core of the continent. In a time of recovery and peace, Five Homunculus arrive in secret. In a quick flash they disrupt the recovery of all of Baltane’s settlments bringing it to its knees. A hero will have to travel to the settlements of Celeste, Solemn, Whisper, and The Baltane Capital in order stop the Homunculus and their destructive plot to make the entire country a sacrifice.

CLASSIC SOULSLIKE RPG

FADE hopes to provide a classic RPG inspired journey with a souls-like twist on the combat. Players can expect to travel to settlements, take on quests, meet interesting NPCS, and face off against powerful foes in between.

Though a land in turmoil, Baltane is not a place without opportunity. Take on part time job side quests to make extra gold and complete special quest lines. “Someone’s gotta clear these monsters out of the sewer”

Step aside from challenging godlike beings to take on life skill endeavors such as, Fishing, Mining, and Crafting.

CORE GAMEPLAY

Fast paced, stamina based combat system with a heavy emphasis on  weapon weight. In combat the player can attack, dodge, roll, and parry their opponents moves, classic capabilities found in souls-like games with its own unique touches.

Melee combat revolves around managing stamina, using unique weapon skills and the skillful usage of blocks, parries, magic and finishers. In Baltane aura manipulators imbue magic weapons with powerful spells, allowing you to blend magic into any melee encounter. 

FADE’s feedback loop revolves around exploring areas, finding forgotten items, opening passageways and remapping Baltane’s aura mantles to recover the trade routes.

In between this endeavor, the player will find lairs of the homunculus behind Baltane’s ruin and have to defeat them to progress the story.
